Selro Default Settings Guide

Selro’s settings menu allows you to customize your account for inventory, orders, shipping, taxes, notifications, and more. This guide walks you through each section of the settings area and how to use the features available.


🔍 Accessing Your Settings

  1. Log in to your Selro account.

  2. Click on your username in the top-right corner of the dashboard.

  3. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.


⚙️ Default Settings

Under the Default Settings tab:

  • Base Currency: Set the currency you want to view your prices in across Selro.

  • Automatic Currency Conversion: Enable “Automatically convert when listing internationally” to have Selro calculate selling prices in different currencies when listing to international marketplaces.


🧾 Tax Settings

In the Tax Settings tab:

  • Create multiple tax rates to apply to your inventory products.

  • Set a default tax rate that applies automatically to new products.

  • Enable the option to “Apply tax rates to orders when downloading into Selro.”

    • Choose whether this applies based on:

      • Order receiving country

      • Order placed country

      • Order dispatch country

➕ Accounting System Rates

If you've connected an accounting system, you can:

  • Assign one of your existing tax rates (from your accounting software) to apply automatically to orders sent from Selro to your accounting system.


📦 Inventory Settings

Within the Inventory tab, there are three sub-sections:

1. Settings

  • Custom Fields: Create internal-use fields that will appear in your inventory records.

  • SKU Sequence: Set up an automatic SKU numbering format for new products.

2. Product Labels

  • Design your product/SKU labels using HTML, and connect your label printer.

  • To print labels:

    • Go to: Inventory → Inventory & Listings

    • Edit the SKU → Click Print → Print Product Label PDF

3. Manufacturer Details

  • View and manage all manufacturers in your inventory.

  • Add new manufacturers as needed.


🧾 Order Settings

In the Orders tab:

  • Customize Pick and Pack Lists

  • Choose to display Inventory SKU instead of Listing SKU

  • Create and manage order cancellation reasons

  • Set:

    • Default order page size

    • Order sorting preference (e.g., newest first)

    • Default order view (view full orders or line items separately)

    • Custom order ID sequence for internal reference


🚚 Shipping Settings

  • Set default product dimensions (used if not specified per SKU)

  • Enter your IOSS number, including a default value and per-channel IOSS numbers. You can also enter a default Country of Origin here.

  • Set your HS codes for imports and exports

  • Enter your UKIMS number (in line with the Windsor Framework)

📦 Packaging

  • Create packaging types and set their weights

  • Packaging weight is included in the total order weight when generating shipping labels


🛒 Purchase Orders

  • Customize PO headers and footers using HTML

  • Set a PO number sequence to auto-generate PO numbers


📧 Email Integration

Selro supports two email connection types:

1. SMTP

  • Enter: SMTP host, port, username, and password

2. SES (Simple Email Service)

  • Enter your email address and click reconnect

  • You’ll receive an email to authorize the connection

  • Once approved, your email will be connected


🔔 Notifications

1. Low Stock Alert Email

  • Enable alerts and set a default minimum stock level

  • Set custom low stock levels per SKU (via CSV upload)

  • Add the email address(es) to receive alerts

2. Order Fulfilment Confirmation Email

  • Enable automatic email sending when orders are marked as shipped

  • Customize the email template using Selro’s available tags
