Overview

Selro allows you to manage and publish your products to Etsy directly from your inventory system. By completing the Etsy-specific fields within the Listings tab, you can create a fully optimised Etsy listing and push it live in just a few steps.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Edit the Product

Navigate to your product within Selro Inventory and open the item you wish to list on Etsy.

2. Go to the Listings tab

Click the Listings tab within the product page.
This section contains marketplace-specific settings, including Etsy.

3. Locate the Etsy section

Scroll to the Etsy section.
If the product has not yet been listed, the status may show as Waiting.

4. Confirm the SKU

Ensure the SKU field is correct.
This identifier links your Selro product to the Etsy listing.

5. Select a Listing Profile (optional)

Choose a Listing Profile if available.
This can automatically apply predefined Etsy settings such as shipping, returns, or policies.

6. Enter the Item Title

Provide a clear and descriptive Item Title.
Ensure it is optimised with relevant keywords to improve search visibility on Etsy.

7. Add the Item Description

Use the description editor to enter a detailed product description.

Include:

  • Product overview

  • Key features and benefits

  • Dimensions or specifications

  • Usage ideas or gifting suggestions

Well-structured descriptions improve buyer engagement and conversion.

8. Set the Selling Price

Enter the Selling Price you want to use for the Etsy listing.

9. Add Tags

Enter up to 13 comma-separated tags in the Tags field.
Tags help customers find your product in Etsy search results.

You can also click Generate Tags with AI to automatically create relevant tags.

10. Enter Materials (optional)

Add product materials in the Materials field (comma-separated).
This is particularly useful for handmade or craft items.

11. Select Occasion and Recipient (optional)

Choose relevant options from the Occasion and Recipient dropdowns to improve listing relevance and discoverability.

12. Choose Etsy Category

Select the appropriate Category for your product.
Use the Categories button to browse Etsy’s category structure.

13. Assign Store Category (Etsy Section)

Optionally assign the product to an Etsy Store Section using the Store Categories/Sections button.

14. Add Personalisation (if applicable)

If your product supports customisation, enter details in the Personalisation Text field.
Leave this blank if not required.

15. Configure Product Variations (if applicable)

If your product has variations (e.g. size, colour):

  • First create variation SKUs in the Variations tab

  • Then assign them within the Etsy listing

If no variations exist, Selro will display a message indicating this.

16. Set Variation Theme (if required)

Click Manage Variation Theme to define how variations appear on Etsy (e.g. size, colour).

17. Save the listing

Click Save to store your Etsy listing details in Selro.

18. Publish to Etsy

Click List to Etsy to submit the product to Etsy.

19. Verify listing status

After submission, check the Etsy section to confirm the listing status has updated successfully.

Notes

  • If required fields are missing, the listing may fail to publish.

  • Ensure your Etsy account is connected in Selro before listing products.

  • Variations must be configured in advance before they can be listed on Etsy.

  • Tags are limited to 13 by Etsy—use all available slots for best results.

Best Practices

  • Use keyword-rich, natural-sounding titles

  • Write clear, structured descriptions with bullet points

  • Include all relevant tags for better visibility

  • Select the most accurate category and attributes

  • Provide complete product details (materials, recipient, occasion where applicable)
