Mapping Selro Inventory Item Conditions to Sales Channel Listing Conditions

Item Condition Mappings

Written by Selro Support

Overview

Different sales channels use different item condition values when creating listings. Selro allows you to map your inventory item conditions to the corresponding condition values required by each sales channel.

By configuring these mappings, Selro will automatically send the correct item condition when creating new listings, helping to ensure your listings are published successfully and accurately across all connected marketplaces.

Why Use Item Condition Mapping?

Each marketplace has its own condition terminology.

For example:

Selro Inventory Condition

Reverb Condition

New/Brand New

Brand New

Used Like New

Excellent

Used Very Good

Very Good

Used Good

Good

Used Acceptable

Fair

Without condition mapping, listings may be rejected or assigned an incorrect condition when published to a sales channel.

Please note: This feature is only available for following sales channels.

eBay

Reverb

Saving Your Changes

Step 4: Save the Mapping

After completing the mappings:

  1. Click Save.

  2. Selro will store the mappings for the selected sales channel.

The mappings will then be used automatically whenever new listings are created for that channel.

How the Mapping Is Used

When a listing is created:

  1. Selro reads the item condition stored on the inventory item.

  2. Selro checks the configured condition mapping.

  3. The corresponding marketplace condition is selected automatically.

  4. The listing is submitted to the sales channel using the mapped condition value.

Example

Inventory Item:

Condition: Used Very Good

Configured Mapping:

Used Very Good → Very Good

Listing Sent to Reverb:

Condition: Very Good

Best Practices

Review Marketplace Condition Definitions

Different marketplaces may interpret conditions differently. Always review the marketplace's condition guidelines before configuring mappings.

Complete All Mappings

Ensure all Selro conditions are mapped to avoid listing errors or missing condition values.

Review Mappings Periodically

Sales channels occasionally introduce new condition options. Review your mappings when adding new channels or updating existing integrations.

Test with a Sample Listing

After configuring mappings, create a test listing and verify that the correct condition is displayed on the sales channel.

Troubleshooting

Listing Condition Appears Incorrect

  • Verify the inventory item condition in Selro.

  • Check the configured condition mapping.

  • Confirm the marketplace supports the selected condition.

Listing Creation Error

  • Ensure all required conditions have been mapped.

  • Review the marketplace's condition requirements.

  • Save the mapping configuration before creating listings.

Summary

Item Condition Mapping ensures that Selro inventory conditions are translated correctly into marketplace-specific listing conditions. Once configured, Selro automatically applies the appropriate condition whenever a new listing is created, helping to improve listing accuracy and reduce manual work.
